Ten on 10 :::: August 2013

 Weston took the oldest 4 camping on the upper part of the ranch last night.  I stayed home because Zoe had a fever.  After a long nap she acted fine and her fever went down, so we went and stayed with my friend JaNae and her littlest one.  Her husband and oldest kids were camping with my family.  Becky and Gail, some other friends whose husbands/kids were also with our camping bunch, came by JaNae's, too.  It was a lot of fun having a girls' night and staying up until 1:30 laughing and talking.  

Zoe and I slept until almost 9:30 this morning.  Latest I've slept in a loooong time.  We stayed at JaNae's until about noon.  I forgot about it being the 10th and hadn't packed my camera along, so my photo-journaled day starts in the early afternoon back home, just after my happy camper crew returned home from their fun trip.

matchy bros: brown shirts, hole-y jeans, motorbikes

ezra, mr. sporty, saw my just-thrifted tae-bo on the mudroom bench and wanted to do it.  his brothers joined him, as his big sister was out riding the motorcycle.  later, the oldest 3 were in workout clothes doing it.

family work time: weeding, mulching, gathering rocks for along the border of the fence in the driveway.  The chickens were about to feast on those weeds.

sad day, but the black walnut tree must come down.  rancher cut part of the tree off a couple of years ago, and cut one more branch off today.  a pro will have to do the rest.  besides the bunch of leaves right where weston is sitting, the tree is totally dead and has become a hazard.

jammin' after a haircut and shower.  he likes to pretend he's playing the keyboard's prerecorded songs, or the guitar along with them.

our summer bucket list continues to get checked off.  we need to check 'camping' today. looks like we still have a lot of fun things to do.

bath time for the littlest 2.

after bath 'friday night movie' on saturday night (since we didn't do a movie last night).  it was tarzan.

afghans and blankets freshly washed from the barn dance.  it is far too warm still to take them off the shelf, but they still look happy and colorful just sittin'.
