Dreaming - with a little help from Photobucket

Photobucket has this editing feature where you can draw on your photos.  It can be fun and even let you better visualize a dream or a vision of something that you may have by just sketching (no matter how rough that sketch may be) it in.
Take a picture.  Load it onto your computer.  Upload it to Photobucket.  Click on edit.  Draw on it.  Save it.  There you have it.

Here is what Ezra and I were pretending our tree house could look like....
Photobucket
This picture was from when the leaves were just coming on.  It's way wild down there now.  We still would love to build a tree house.  There are so many other things to do, that, unfortunately, building a tree house is not at the top of the priority list.  This is the spot that we think would be just great - down by the creek, sort of hidden, yet close enough to the house.

Here is Spencer's "Tractor With the Swather" picture that he did tonight.  Oh, to get the fields that green.  His swather actually looks a lot like the real swather.

And this is what Spencer and I did of what we think our house could look like....
We have to have a picture of both the "now" and the "could be" on this one, to get the full effect...

COULD BE:

(Okay, not sure how this looks on most people's computer.  Our monitor is dark so, on mine, the colors blend.)
Ah....dreaming.  What a wonderful thing.  It really is one of my favorite past times.

Ezra.

(Almost) every night before bed, he tells me this:

Photobucket

He tells me what he is going to dream about that night. It usually has something to do with monsters or dragons or the like.

Last night, on our way home from Weston's basketball game, he announced rather excitedly (as well as out of nowhere), "I'm goin' have a dream 'bout, 'bout, 'bout Timmy's dad fighting Cody's dad. With light saVers!"

Funny kid.

I don't think that he really dreams about the things he says he is going to dream about. At least, he never says anything about it the next morning. It is usually about something different.

One morning a couple of weeks ago, the first thing out of Ezra's mouth was, "Mom! I had a dream that you had THREE BABIES!"
"Uh, 3-year-old say what?"

"There was 2 boys and 2 girls...no, 1 boy and 2 girls, and they were sleeping in Jiles's crib. ALL A DEM!"

Uh, hu hu. Funny kid.

Guess we'll have to wait and see about that one, eh?
(btw, this is NOT an announcement of any sort)

That'd be cool.

Right?

bad duck

Ezra ran into our room at 4:56 this morning saying, "Ducky, ducky!" I couldn't understand him at first and asked, "Stinky?" "No, ducky!" "Doggy?" "No, ducky!" "Ducky?" "Ducky!" He was really scared so I pulled him up into bed to cuddle with him. He pulled the covers over his head right away and said "Ducky. Coming!" He would not for anything let me pull the covers off his head. So I tried to get his mind off of this ferocious beast by saying, "Let's think about a train driving through a big field, and an airplane flying over the train in the sky." You can't go wrong with trains and planes for making a 2-year-old boy happy, or so I thought. "Duck. Fly. Too!" So much for that. He finally fell asleep but I couldn't because I was thinking how sad for Ezra, but laughing at the same time at how cute it was. As I've been typing this, Ezra saw the duck and happy-excitedly said, "Ducky!" I asked him if he had a dream last night about a duck and he looked at me like I was crazy and said strongly, "No." Good. He forgot. At least he won't be haunted forever by those huge yellow monsters.
