the cOOLest pumpkin patch ever.

There is this pumpkin patch just north of Reno, NV that is the
bees knees.
Okay, so maybe I'm a LITTLE bias considering they are family, but really and in all honesty, it's awesome.
Weston's oldest brother, Cameron, his wife, Natalie, and their 5 kids (Kyle 11, Ethan 9, Austin 9, Kaleb 6, and Emma 2) live on a farm in Spanish Springs.  In the spring they planted 5000 pumpkin seeds by hand in hopes of opening a pumpkin patch in October.  Now that it's October they are open to the public for pumpkin picking, hayrides, and lots of other activities.

We were there the first weekend in October, and got to help out (a little) on their 2nd day open to the public, as well as do all of that other fun stuff.
They did good that day we were there, but I heard that things are really doing awesome now.
(Way to go C&N and fam!)

Weston drove the tractor for the hayrides

A sweet maze for the kiddies.  You don't have to worry about loosing them in here (unlike corn mazes).
And speaking of sweet
check out these teeth:

Kate knew some people - you know, she had the "in" - so she got to take more than one spin on the tractor route.
(It looks like Weston doesn't have a left arm in this picture - or either arm, really.)
Weston's younger brother, Daron, has bees that he keeps at the farm.  The bees pollinate the pumpkins, and then they produce pumpkin honey.  Sounds good.

Wagons and wheelbarrows are available for borrowing to get your pumpkins (or other needs, I suppose).
Natalie's artist friend, Summer, did some cool face arm painting for the kids.  She also made this:

This is a corn box - sort of like a sand box, but with dried corn.
It is a total hit with the littles.

Two of my cute nephews, Kyle and Austin, and a pumpkin patch worker, Janelle, at the sales tent.
Natalie made those t-shirts and aprons.  Very cute.
So if you live anywhere near Reno, go check it out.

Go here, here and here for more information about it.

cute post carrie! Thanks for giving your two thumbs up to the patch! I love your perspectives and angles on your pictures too - it really shows things in a different way, which I like - like it makes things look even better and more colorful. thanks again for coming to visit and yes- lets make it an annual tradition!
