F.I.E.

Family Irrigation Evening. For our family home evening activity on Monday we went with Weston irrigating. (We go with him all the time but since it was Monday, and since we needed an activity, and since Weston needed to irrigate anyway, we made it our official activity.) We watched Weston drag his orange tarp around, and then followed him on the 4-wheeler to throw him his shovel so that he could secure the tarp in the ditch. It's fun to watch the water fill up the tarp and then flood the ground.

Of course the kids want to swim in the creek after Weston is all done. Spencer is always prepared so, of course, he had his Spiderman life-jacket; Ezra wanted to wear Spencer's 5T rash-guard.

While we were waiting for Weston, Kate kept singing "Follow the Prophets", the primary song. But instead of singing, "don't go astray," she sang in the same tune, "make sure you don't go like this" (yeah, you have to sing faster to make it all fit) and then would make this lovely face (from cute to hmmm...):

Yay, swimming time. Drive in, and drop off. Spencer likes to "shoot the 'rapids'" in the deep part (it gets pretty deep...good thing he had his life-jacket), and Ezra likes to pretend he's a dog in the water.

And, of course, after getting all wet and uncomfortable from swimming in the creek, some, er, one of us would just rather be naked. Oh the benefits of living country!

Looking at this picture, Ezra laughs and says, "Bum bum. Me."

An FHE to remember...Kate's face looks so funny, it looks like she is an alien! Is the water in the creek very cold? Did you swim Carrie?
