Always the last day of school, is the Memorial Day Program. It is held at our tiny community's tiny cemetery.
Ezra is the only one of my kids in school this year. He got to read Robert E. Lee's "I Believe" speech that Spencer always read.
Then they sing some lovely patriotic songs, along to the accordian.
Then they put crosses with flags on the graves of the veterans.
It is solemn, they are respectful, and it is beautiful.
