October Poem

October
Poem and Photography by Spencer

Squirrels collect  nuts
with their four fingered paws
while their wild tails stand up high.

Up in the tree
 the blue bird sings
a song of grace and hope.

Off in the distance
the eagle screams
above the field of green.

The creek flows gently
through the woods
in the peaceful October air.

I stand on the mountain
strong and stable
absorbing this peaceful sight.
