ewe. yes, ewe.

"I'VE NEVER MET A SHEEP
WITH SUCH A STRONG, DARK FACE."
-Babe

We got 3 Dorper sheep last week.  All ewes.
We all like them very much.  They are soft and fuzzy.

Momo (moe-moe - Miss Kate was so set on this name) is the youngest at 3 months old.  She likes us because she was bottle raised and knows people mean food and petting.
Frosty likes us, yet is a tad timid.
Eunice is afraid.
Kate and Momo
They really liked the molasses oats we made for them.  They ate them all up quick as a whip,
so we went to gather loose hay for them from some dilapidated hay bales.
Kate thought that it would be more effective to throw the hay from the top.
It wasn't.  You have to throw hay REALLY hard, and then it still only goes 2 feet in front of you.

We sort of got distracted by playing for a while
(they are their mother's children, after all).

I am not a cowgirl, and have never even worn cowboy/girl boots, but I sure love looking at these little boots on these little legs

Yeah, so we finally filled the bucket thing with hay and...

oh wait...can't forget Ezra ....
...we took it to these very appreciative ladies who went straight away to gobbling it up.
We are hoping to find a ram this month, so we can have little lambs by spring.  Kate is crossing her fingers we find one.  She wants a lamb soooo bad.
Anyone have any rams?

Oh yeah, we had a super pretty sunset last night. See:

Cool looking sheep (and I'm not a big fan of sheep). Anyway, I googled them to learn more about them and found this link to breeders in Idaho: http://www.dorperamerica.org/Membership/nw.asp

Hope that helps you get some lambies.

Nice sheep! Those are really pretty with their dark faces. Are you going to cut the wool next year? Or just breed and sell babies, or just have some new fun pets? They are cute, but I am more of a goat fan. Good luck finding a ram...
