Last week we were lucky to have some company.
That company being:
- My sister Wendy, her husband Andy, and their 7 kids, Natalie, Brian, Zachary, Landon, Sam, Ammon, and Ellie
- My sister Julie, her husband Drew, and their 5 kids, Aubrey, Brad, Ethan, Owen, and Karie
- My parents, also known as Grammie and Grandad
- My sister Holly's 5-year-old boy Brendan who came up with Grandad
(Photo credits: all of the nice photos were taken by Wendy or Andy with their nice camera. All of the cruddy pictures were taken with my camera)
8 adults.
17 kids - ages 12 (well now 13) and under.
12 boys.
5 girls.
Needless to say, it was a BLAST!
We climbed.
We swang.
We zipped.
We pogo-ed.
(Brian)
We played with chicks.
We named chicks (pictured above are Sarah and Collin the chicks).
(Kate)
(Zac)
We jumped.
(Aubrey, Spencer, Natalie, Sam, Zac, Ezra, Owen, Ethan, Brendan)
We jumped with chicks.
We hung out at the round-up, some longer than others.
We (one little one) reported that they were "killing the calves".
(That was the interpretation of his little brain as he watched the branding of the calves.)
We swang some more and just enjoyed hanging out together.
(Brad and Zac)
We rode horses ( so graciously offered by Grandma Andelin),
(Zac and Ammon)
played with Hank,
(Hank, Sam and classic Ezra with his pants on backward and one pant leg in the boot, one pant leg out of the boot)
did a little following of the leader,
(Ezra, Kate, Spencer, and Landon)
rode 4-wheelers a bit,
(On our way to deliver Kate and Spencer's bikes to the bus stop.)
and discovered that Grandad gives a mean underdog.
(Grandad and Brad)
We goo-ed over the 3 litt-lests.
Ellie and Jiles - 19 days apart,
and the newest - darling 3-month-old Karie.
We made a sweet 2-room clothesline tent, just like when we were kids,
and played with the little chicks,
and read aloud to each other, inside it - boys in one room (with the little chicks), girls in the other.
(Natalie, Aubrey and Kate)
We left the men and children with homemade pizza at home and had a
GIRLS NIGHT OUT in town.
We missed you Holly and Diane.
(Wendy, Ellie, Carrie, Jiles, Karie (in the car seat), Julie, Mom)
We hung out some more, having a grand time,
(Ammon)
looking cute while doing it,
(Ammon)
and loving the company of family,
(Brad, Zac, Ezra, Sam, Landon, Kate)
(Brad, Spencer, and Ethan)
and the sweet (marshmallows and all) making of memories.
