A couple Sundays ago we took a drive up the mountain to check the water of the reservoir. The water from our creek comes from it and our creek has been sooo low. We have been able to ride the 4-wheeler across it pretty much all year, which is not a good thing to be able to do during the Spring. We have had such dry Summers and Winters for the last couple of years. On the way to the reservoir, we stopped by the pond, which is also in the high mountain valley portion of the ranch. It is the same pond that
we went ice skating on a couple of winters ago. There are cows that get their water from it. Weston's dad dug it a couple/few years ago.
It is soooo quiet and peaceful up there. I wish we had gone about a month ago so that we could've seen all the wildflowers and green grass before they all dried up.
At the reservoir, the water was pretty low. We had a nice walk along it. I didn't realize how far back it goes. It's a lot bigger than I thought. The earth was soft under their bare feet as they ran along the shoreline. There were lots of tracks to be observed (the bear track was of the most interest) and there were lots of treasures to be gathered. Toys from nature are really the best; they are free, disposable, biodegradable.

Oh my. That is super dry! I want to visit the reservoir sometime. I don't think I've ever been there before. Maybe this fall?? You look super cute, Carrie. And all your kids are looking adorable and happy as ever.....you're lucky to have Rancher man. He takes good care of you guys.
Love,
